Ms. Susan L. Gaudin
Executive Officer, Emeritus
WHEREAS Ms. Susan L. Gaudin has served the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø with distinction in administration in multiple roles from 2001 to 2020; and
WHEREAS Ms. Gaudin, after a varied career in accounting, worked at UAF as assistant to the director of the Alaska Satellite Facility, assistant to the director of the Tanana Valley ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and assistant to the vice chancellor of advancement and community engagement, and she then spent the past eight years as executive officer of the Community and Technical ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø; and
WHEREAS sixty CTC staff and faculty members endorsed Ms. Gaudin’s emeritus status, saying her hard work and professionalism are complemented by a gentle approach that sustained colleagues; and
WHEREAS Ms. Gaudin successfully overcame diverse challenges that ranged from designing new accounting systems to relocating the aviation maintenance program’s aircraft, and members of CTC’s Community Advisory Council praised the clarity and depth of her presentations on the college’s trends, revenues and expenditures; and
WHEREAS Ms. Gaudin’s efforts often went beyond normal job duties as she advanced such efforts as the CTC donor wall at the Barnette Street building;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø expresses its deep appreciation to Ms. Susan L. Gaudin for her extensive contributions to the State of Alaska and to the University; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, in further recognition of the invaluable services rendered by Ms. Gaudin and as evidence of the University’s desire that her identification with the University be maintained, hereby confers upon Ms. Susan L. Gaudin the title of Executive Officer, Emeritus; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be appropriately engrossed and signed by the Chancellor as further evidence of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’ esteem and respect for Ms. Susan L. Gaudin, and conveyed to Ms. Gaudin on this twenty-third day of May, 2020.
